Before you decide on a cream for puffy eyes
Don't get me wrong, there are many good eye creams you could try and many of them are designed to deflate puffiness and eye bags. However, you might want to look into why your under eyes are puffy to begin with. Sometimes it's just aging, but there are other reasons that could be a factor.
One of the most common causes of puffy eyes is allergies. These can be seasonal and a factor of the weather or climate you live in. They can also be caused by eating certain foods or a sensitivity to the environment or products you've put on your skin. Try to find out if you have an allergy and if so, get to the bottom of what's causing it. Your doctor can help with this.
If you manage to solve your allergy problems you may or may not need an eye cream for puffiness. Of course the right eye cream could help alleviate the appearance of puffy eyes while you're working on treating your allergy - sometimes this works and other times it does not. Everyone is unique.
The video below explains yet another reason your eyes could be itchy and swollen (I never would have thought of this):

Common Cold, Illness, Underlying Medical Condition
Similar to allergies, having a cold can also contribute to puffiness around the eyes. Other medical issues could also be to blame. Always try to find the root cause - it's better for your health and it's essential for lasting results. Any eye cream you use will be able to work better when you take care of underlying issues. Of course, this can be said of all skin care products.
